…overflowing with ‘stuff’. Stuff that we had accumulated over the years.
Paintings 🎨 when the kids were in preschool, school books, school uniforms, toys, lego, books📚, computers that were outdated, clothes that the kids had worn growing up.
You name we had it. We could not fit another thing in. The closet was at breaking point, yet we have ignored it. In a sense hoping that the stuff inside would just go away. After all, once the doors would close it became out of mind, out of sight😐.
But every time we walked into the spare room it created stress.
A mountain that we had to tackle.
The same can be said for our health.
We BIO-accumulate everything that we do in life. Some things good, and some things not so good. Our body will hold on to emotional trauma unless dealt with emotionally. Our cells carry the burden of the accumulated chemical stress such as processed food; chemicals from soaps🧼, shampoos, makeup, sunscreen and deodorants; from cooking utensils such as teflon; from additives to water; from the chemicals in medication and pharmaceutical products💊. Then add to this the physical stress that people place themselves through daily with a lack of movement, slouching over a phone or at a desk for hours on end with their body bending forward 💻and looking more and more like the ‘f’ from the facebook logo.
Is it any wonder people are getting sick, rundown, not sleeping well, taking more and more drugs as a band aid 🩹 effect.
Just like our closet, it is much easier to just shut the door and hope that it all goes away (take drugs and hope for the best), rather than do the work to clean out the accumulation of ‘stuff’.
Your health requires work.
Just as our spare closet requires us to set the ground rules as to what goes in and what stays out of it, our health is exactly the same.
