This effects their life; their lifestyle; their relationships and their livelihood.
But What Causes Headache and Migraines?
A variety of factors can cause headaches, many being lifestyle factors, patterns and bad habits that you can control.
One of the most common causes of headaches is the medication prescribed to treat headaches! The overuse and the dependence of many over the counter medications is a leading factor in a refractory (or bounce-back) headache. This is why pills and medication might not be the best option for care. Many tension headaches start when there is repetitive motion and poor posture while standing or sitting at work; overuse of electronic devices such as computers and phones; a lack of movement and motion; and even bad sleeping posture.
Some of these events create misalignment in the vertebra, leading to tension in the soft tissues such as the ligaments, the discs and the muscles. This vertebral misalignment, known to Chiropractors as a subluxation, can also lead to a change in the neurological patterns causing headache and over time can even lead to degenerative or arthritic changes to your vertebra.
